Creek County Courthouse
After a thorough evaluation of the physical condition of the building, including architectural and structural conditions, as well as the MEP systems, BKL determinedthe functional uses of the building while considering current and future space needs. The Creek County Courthouse is listed on the National Historic Register for public buildings and any changes must take historic value into account.
Based on the study, BKL recommended restoration and remodel approaches and prepared the construction documents. This included a new courtroom and District Attorney’s office, remodeling of two courtrooms, restoration of existing marble surfaces, new ADA compliant elevators, and other modern enhancements.
This project received the award for Best Interior Design for 2013 from Main Street Oklahoma.
