Payne County Administration Building Exterior

Owasso City Hall Renovation

Owasso, Oklahoma

This award-winning 26,000 SF renovation completely transformed a 1960s bank building into what is now Owasso’s modern two-story city hall.

The design utilizes much of the original storefront, including the teller and drive-through banking areas which became an exercise room, and the vault which became a storm shelter. Other original features including millwork, trim, partitions, and doors were reused throughout the facility.

Additional features include a new energy management system featuring a generator with an automatic transfer switch to keep city hall running in the event of a disaster, and a FEMA-rated door installed on one of the existing vaults to provide shelter for city employees during severe weather.

This project received the “Government Program, Green Place” Award from Keep Oklahoma Beautiful.
